Invisalign

There’s something about a beautiful smile that makes you feel liberated—a small, spontaneous gesture that reflects your inner joy, and spreads it to those around you. Beauty may very well be in the eye of the beholder; but we all know a great smile when we see one!

No two smiles are alike, but what they all have in common is a set of straight and healthy teeth.

In many cases, however, people are either born with dental imperfections due to genetics, or end up with less than perfect teeth due to accidents, injuries or poor oral hygiene. Dental insecurities that stem from these conditions make it a challenge to smile openly and confidently, putting a damper on your self-esteem and giving others a bad impression.

Indeed, this is why several people opt for traditional braces, hoping to fix their imperfections for straighter, more aligned teeth—despite the complicated procedure and distracting appearance of metallic wires.

At CHASE OAKS FAMILY DENTISTRY, we use the latest in dental technology to bring you innovative solutions.

One of these is our exceptional invisalign service, popular around the world for its convenience and transparency.

As a much more reliable alternative to traditional braces, modern invisalign technology comes in clear, transparent, easily removable trays that focus on the incremental movement of teeth to create perfect alignment.

When you visit us in Frisco, Little Elm or The Colony for an invisalign treatment, your dentist, Dr. Lavanya Rudrapatna, takes a teeth impression and uses a 3D imaging software to create a custom tray.

We also provide other dental services in conjunction with invisalign services, such as crowns and bridges to perfect your smile.

Why cling to tradition when you have innovation?

Ditch the troublesome braces with an invisalign tray that’s so clear—no one will notice you have it on!

Root Canals

Contrary to popular jokes about the pain of undergoing a root canal, modern dental practices have made the procedure relatively painless and increasingly comfortable.

Also referred to as endodontic treatment, root canal is a dental procedure that treats infected pulp underneath the dentin and white enamel. Containing blood vessels, connective tissue and nerves, the pulp helps in the development of the root of your tooth.

When infected, the pulp becomes inflamed, which causes acute pain, and often leads to the formation of an abscess at the bottom. As such, there are a number of reasons underlying an infected pulp: from extensive decay and a chipped or cracked tooth, to one too many dental procedures and inadequate crowns—anything could irritate the soft tissue within the soft and sensitive pulp.

Root canal helps to remove the inflamed pulp, disinfecting the tooth and filling it instead with a substance called gutta-percha.

The process comes to an end with a standard filling or a crown, which leaves your tooth looking and feeling as good as new!

CHASE OAKS FAMILY DENTISTRY caters to Frisco, Little Elm and The Colony, with up to 13 years of professional experience in root canals, implants and cosmetic dentistry. Your dentist, Dr. Lavanya Rudrapatna, provides a comprehensive guide to dental care, with a step-by-step evaluation and root canal treatment that entails X-rays, anesthesia, removal, cleaning and sealing.

In addition, we will also help you during the recovery phase, giving you all the necessary tools and medication to heal effectively and on time.

With special aftercare notes by the dentist herself, you can rely on our services for a speedy recovery—knowing that your root canal will most likely last a lifetime!

Sedation / Anesthesia

Sedation dentistry keeps you comfortable during dental procedures. It’s beneficial for people with dental anxiety or for those who are undergoing lengthy treatment. Options include nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation and intravenous (IV) sedation. Dentists must have special certification to provide some forms of sedation dentistry.

Implants

Dental implants take the place of a lost tooth root. These permanent metal screws secure artificial or fake teeth — such as dental crowns, dental bridges or dentures — in place. A dental implant can replace one or more missing teeth.

Oral Surgery / Extractions

dentist in Farmers Branch TX

You may think tooth extraction is only meant for people who don’t practice good oral hygiene. In reality, however, it could very well be recommended for a whole host of reasons, such as crowding, misalignment, and extensive decay.

It’s not uncommon, for instance, for people to undergo oral surgery extraction after an accident or an injury, which could render useless all fillings and crowns.

In situations where a tooth is simply irreparable, tooth extraction may be your only recourse. This could happen when experiencing crowding, decay or trauma. Even so, however, the process of extraction can be simple or surgical—most commonly in the case of impacted wisdom teeth.

When the tooth is visible above the gum line, and the dentist only relies on forceps to pull it out, it is considered a simple extraction. On the other hand, when your gum tissue or bone needs to be removed before operating on the tooth, it is deemed a surgical extraction—followed by stitches and medication for healing and recovery.

Other forms of oral surgical extractions may include removing broken down teeth, root tips, or gum tissue due to gum disease, which may infect your tooth and the surrounding area.

Simple and surgical extractions can have lasting effects on your dental health.

At CHASE OAKS FAMILY DENTISTRY, we understand the anxiety and stress of getting your teeth extracted, and we go out of our way to create a relaxing environment that is conducive to your mental and physical comfort.

We’re located in convenient locations, catering to Frisco, Little Elm and The Colony, with a professional and friendly staff that is there to assist you every step of the way—be it with local anesthetics or medication.

Wisdom Teeth Removal

Goodbyes can be painful—especially if it means parting with one or more of your teeth!

There comes a time in life, however, when tooth extractions are the only way out of excruciating pain in your gums and teeth. And before you let your fears take over, it’s best to consult a dentist.

When you compare the results of wisdom teeth removal with neglected toothache, you’ll quickly see the importance of taking swift and effective action.

Normally done by a dentist or an oral surgeon, wisdom teeth removal is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of one or more of the four adult molars in the farthest ends of the top and bottom set of your teeth.

When your wisdom teeth do not have enough room to grow, they affect the surrounding areas of the mouth, including gums and teeth. This may very well result in chronic pain, possible tooth decay, infections and a whole host of related dental problems, which require immediate tooth removal and treatment.

Catering to Frisco, Little Elm and The Colony, CHASE OAKS FAMILY DENTISTRY understands the stress and anxiety of having your teeth pulled out—no matter what your age! This is why we strongly believe in making your tooth removal session comfortable and positive, putting your concerns first to give you a relatively painless treatment.

Our qualified dentist, Dr. Lavanya Rudrapatna, holds various commendable certifications in cosmetic and implant dentistry—giving you the confidence to take the first step.
